The National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) organized by SkillsUSA will commence in Atlanta on June 23, anticipating over 18,000 participants such as middle school and high school students, college attendees, educators, school administrators, and industry collaborators.

The conference taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center aims to honor the achievements of leading Career and Technical Education (CTE) students across the U.S., highlighting their capabilities in addressing national workforce development issues through skillful problem-solving.

During the conference, the SkillsUSA Championships will be held, featuring over 6,800 students who vie for national awards of gold, silver, and bronze medals across 114 practical skill-based contests aimed at fostering workforce development.

Simultaneously occurring will be the SkillsUSA TECHPSO exposition, which is among the country's biggest showcases for technical education, as stated in a press release.

TECHSPO will showcase over 200 exhibitors from both educational institutions and industries, along with specialized training workshops designed for students and educators.

The 2025 conference will also represent the peak membership figures since the inception of SkillsUSA 60 years ago, with over 443,000 student and educator members across all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands participating.

Chelle Travis, the Executive Director of SkillsUSA, stated in a press release: "Our organization continues to expand along with our annual gathering. As an essential conduit for talent and a critical answer to the skill shortage, SkillsUSA is delighted to bring together tomorrow's leaders in Atlanta—a vibrant hub—where they'll have a positive impact on young minds set to shape their localities, country, and global community. Here, American youth poised for skilled professions get a chance to meet potential employers face-to-face. Moreover, this occasion underscores how crucial and sought-after vocational routes are today compared to previous times, offering unparalleled prospects for both individual growth and career advancement."

On Tuesday, June 24, SkillsUSA members and their supporters will convene at State Farm Arena for the highlight of the week: the Opening Ceremony. The featured keynote speaker is Mike Rowe, who earned an Emmy Award as the host of the television show "Dirty Jobs."

Aerotek, a premier workplace solutions provider spanning manufacturing, logistics, construction, aviation, facilities, and maintenance, is the main backer for the 2025 conference.
